Thief Alert : Burglar Alarm App Reviews

Havent tested it yet, but a great thing to use it for would be as an intruder alarm. Set it up against a closed door and if the door is opened, the alarm goes off. Would be great for travel, motel rooms, kids doors, etc.

Fun app but with very limited menu for settings....would like to be able to change the alert tone. No options for changing in settings tab. Any help?

Its an okay app I mean it is really soft and it doesnt work without headphones so its kinda pointless to have it on the itouch but its fun to have.

Only one alarm tone. Not very loud. Background image distorted. Interface is sloppy. I have buyers remorse even though it was only 99 cents.

Does what it says. I tested on a friend and 1st try he knew how to disarm it. Maybe on an update you have to press the "home" button twice, or the home button and a user selected letter to disarm it! This way itll keep on barking to help u locate it. 2nd problem I noticed was no barking if you have the mute on. It should over ride the mute button.

A passcode to deactivate alarm would make this a very must have app then I would give the app (4) stars.

This is a nice trick on thieves. However, just like a car alarm; people become "immune" to noises. Might be nice to have a voice recording such as: "Stop. Thief. This iPhone is being stolen!" Also, some ideas for use is to put it in a conspicuous place in the house so if someone does enter, it may be the first thing they go for and will alert you to a break-in. Ive been broken-in twice so this would be another deterant, these folks move through quickly so it may just work!

Its not there fault that it deactivates it if you press home. On the description it says that apple hasnt given apps permision to override the home button, but once it dose they will change it so it dose.

How does it works? I tried everything nothing works.

Its worthless untill the passcode is required to turn off the alarm. As soon as it is touched alarm sounds and phone should lock, presuming ofcourse u enabled a passcode in the first place.

Good motion detector or paperweight/guard for more valuable stuff ? But the thief knowing to push the home button is the achillies heel.

Its a good app but what it needs is an energy saver it needs to dim the screen or else the battery will die in a few hours. Maybe they should get it to be able to work while in lock mode.

Really,this is the worst app ever i know free ones tjat are better than this.What is the point if somebody pics it up and it goes off all they have to do is press home or turn it down.Waste of your money.

It works

This app works for example lay your phone down and start doing something in another room. Someone picks it up and hold your ears. Even if they do no how to turn off u stil hear it. And get to see whos got it in there hand. It still takes a little bit to turn it off so it works. Or see if mom and dad pick it up to try to read your text and history. Alot of reasons to have this. U do have to hook it up to charge it up so what better time to see who has been reading thing that dont need read. While its on charge for examle.

I rocks and It works pretty good I love it!!!
